My massage philosophy…

Massage Therapy is not just a once in a while “treat” for one’s self or simply a luxury to be enjoyed on special occasions. I see Massage Therapy as an absolute essential way of maintaining good health.

Stress and toxins from our environment are leading causes of disease today. Headaches, anxiety, depression, digestive disorders, as well as physical and emotional exhaustion are all examples of stress-triggered diseases.

Massage Therapy has an amazing effect on your body’s nervous system. When your parasympathetic nervous system is activated, it counteracts your negative response to stress, relaxing muscle tension and allowing your heart rate, blood pressure, and circulation to return to normal.

Massage Therapy also helps you become more aware of your body and your unconsciously held tension. As you become more aware of your body, you will begin to recognize tension as it builds and become able to consciously release it before it can negatively effect your body.

Massage Therapy has an impressive range of physical, mental, and emotional benefits.   It is worth our time to stop the world and get off for an hour. This time nurtures our health by boosting the immune system, relaxing the nervous system, and allowing the lymphatic system to detox. Regular massage is a matter of our good health!

I believe wholeheartedly in the healing benefits of massage therapy.  Managing stress levels through massage therapy is a key component in our good health.  I am honored and delighted to do this work for a living.  I am lucky enough to witness the miracle that is the human body every day of the week!
